Absoulute Value simply put is just a number without its symbol. Ex. |-1| 's absoulute value is 1. If the number doesn't have a symbol on it then keep it the same. The more technical term is the aboulute value is the numbers spaces from 0. Ex. |-4| is 4 spaces away from 4 so the absoulute value is 4.
